What the app saves
SippyLog saves the child’s name, optional photo, bottle amounts, nursing durations, pumping amounts, entry times, settings, and internal identifiers needed to keep records consistent.
Device storage and personal iCloud
Tracking records are saved on your device. When personal iCloud sync is active, saved profiles, photos and history synchronize through Apple’s CloudKit private database in your iCloud account. SippyLog does not operate a separate server for tracking records.
Sync maintains current state, including deletions. Recovery after reinstall depends on changes having finished uploading. Unfinished nursing timers and display preferences remain on each device. Device backups and iCloud storage depend on your Apple settings.
Photos and system features
The system photo picker shares the image you choose, without granting access to your whole photo library. Siri and Shortcuts operate through Apple’s services and settings; the app does not record or store your voice. Widgets and Live Activities may show feeding information outside the app. Manage their visibility in iOS settings.
Advertising and diagnostics
The app has no advertising, data brokers, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. Tracking records are not sent to a developer-operated service.
A local Live Activity diagnostic log contains event times, activity identifiers, elapsed time, and technical error codes, without child names, profile photos, or feeding quantities. It holds at most 300 entries and shows events from the last seven days. Clear it in Settings → Live Activity diagnostics. Apple may handle diagnostics according to your device and Apple developer-service settings.
Your choices
Edit or delete entries in History, change the child’s name or remove their photo in Settings, and clear the local diagnostic log. Deletions synchronize when iCloud is active. Internal deletion markers help prevent stale operations from recreating deleted records; they do not retain deleted quantities or photos.
Uninstalling does not necessarily erase iCloud records. Manage available cloud-data controls in Apple’s iCloud settings. The developer cannot retrieve or erase private tracking records on your behalf.
Support and this website
If you contact support, the recipient receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send. The app does not automatically attach tracking history, photos, or diagnostics. Contact jacob.hoffman@sippylog.com with support or privacy questions. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to resolve your request.
This website, sippylog.com, is hosted on Netlify. It does not collect feeding entries or offer account registration. Netlify processes website requests to deliver and secure the site. Learn more in Netlify’s privacy statement.
Intended use
The app is intended for adults recording a child’s care. Records and statistics are organizational information and do not provide medical advice or feeding recommendations.
